The Government of Canada has removed visa necessities for Asian tourists visiting Canada on Business and Tourism purpose; they can continue to live up to 90 days i.e. 3 months.
In 2016, Tourist entries and receipts report, which mentioned a visa-free travel for Asians, considered Asians to be 80% contributors to Canada tourism with 2% immigration risk.
Bardish Chagger who is Canadian Minister for Business and Tourism said that, 2016 report is a steady development going back to 1999. “So we expect the immigration risk to reduce and also have revenue contributed increase in the coming years. Allowing them on free visas would make it more attractive; hence increase in arrivals and receipts”.
October finishes Canada’s tourism Calendar and sector ministry generally makes suggestions for the following calendar year. Opening its borders to Asians is the real proposal by the report.
This visa free travel for Asians would be in effect from Dec 1, 2016.
