  • The relevant permit fee

  • Medical or health insurance that is valid in South Africa

A repatriation guarantee is a written undertaking from a South African sponsor or a cash deposit that is equivalent to the value of a return ticket. You are exempted from this if your course is less than a year, or you will be attending a religious institution, you will be exempt from this requirement, and you only need a valid return/onward ticket.
